Banana and walnut makes for an amazing combination both from health as well as taste perspective. I have always been very fond of banana-walnut cakes and have tried many versions of the same from various recipe books and blogs. The recipe of the banana-walnut cake that I am sharing with you today uses very simple ingredients. Use of cooking oil instead of butter makes it even softer (I had considerable doubts initially). The flavour of banana and crunch of walnuts makes this an awesome soft and fluffy delight. A dash of cinnamon gives it an even greater dimension and makes it more flavorful. My kids loved this cake and this happens to be one of their favorite anytime snack option. Serve this with a glass of milk or a cup of tea, it’s a great healthy breakfast or snack choice.
- SOME HELPFUL TIPS -
- Baking time might vary from oven to oven.
- All purpose flour can be replaced with whole wheat flour. The cake will be slightly dense but delicious never the less.
- Both milk and curd should be at room temperature.
